MaXx Exposure 2010: South Downs Way Night Enduro
25-26th September 2010
We
have teamed up with Exposure
Lights to push the limits of MTB Enduro! At sunset on Saturday 26th of
September, we challenge you to ride out from Beachy Head to tackle 75 miles
of the South Downs Way to Queen Elizabeth Country
Park (QECP) in time for sunrise.
It's an incredible mountain biking challenge, but we're making it possible. With it's miles of uninterrupted off road and relentless lung busting hills, The South Downs Way has become the most popular 'natural' MTB enduro target in the country and night riding is (quite literally) the 'New Black'. Trail Breaks 10 years experience running our fully supported South Downs Lemming and Exposure Lights leading edge endurance lighting technology make us the perfect team to take the South Downs experience to the MaXx.
There are three route options to choose from:
MaXx 80 End to End
This is the classic MaXx ride, and, put simply, is unlike any other ride on the MTB calendar! Conceived to take advantage of the latest generation of lighting technology, The MaXx 80 takes you 80 miles along the South Downs Way, from Beachy Head to Queen Elizabeth Country Park. At night. The MaXx 80 is beyond just an 'event', it's a true off road adventure!
What sounds like a crazy undertaking is made possible by Trail Breaks scrupulous planning and organisation. Regular support stations will feed your body and revive your spirits, the support crew will be working in the background to see all riders safely through, and the whole route is marked with high visibility reflective signs to keep you clearly on track.
So what does it take to conquer the MaXx? You'll need more than just a good set of lights; this would be a huge ride by day, and at night transforms to something fully deserving of it's 'Epic' tag! The MaXx 80 will test you to the limit, both in mind and body, but if you've got the strength and willpower to see it through, the experience and achievement will stay with you forever!
If you're not ready for the big one this year though, MaXx Exposure has a couple more choices to offer you...
